if u can't beat 'em, join 'em

we can't never change people the way we want or the way we like. so try to adapt the situation and lower the expectation because it will cause less disappointment later on......but we can try influence them tho...to change themselves the way we like and the way we want...but if that also u can't, then the last solution is like what people used to said " if you can't beat them, join them"..
